WELCOME

Welcome to Karma, an Eras-Inspired, family-friendly card game. Players earn points by collecting songs, scoring merch, and matching surprise songs with their ticket.  Watch out for the merch lines, and whatever you do, don’t get caught with an unused ticket in hand!

GAME PLAY

Players take turns drawing cards, adding to their collections, and placing cards to the trading pile. Before any songs can be played, each player needs a ticket for a show. Some cards, like the Surprise Songs, can only be played with their matching ticket. And collecting Merch requires a turn or two spent in line.

When the game enters the Midnights Era, the clock starts ticking to the final move. Then it's time to tally points. Read the full rules on the How to Play page.

TRACKING

Song cards are played in Eras order. When the minimum number of cards from an Era have been played, the next Era is open for play.

BOOSTER PACKS

Expansion packs are available so that fans can get surprise song and tickets cards representing the show they attended... or even collect the whole tour. There are also special highlights cards in these packs, like this one!

CREATED WITH LOVE

This game is fan-designed, with deep respect for Taylor Swift and everyone in her organization. It is presented here for demonstration purposes only. This writer hopes that the website and printed prototype will lead to a collaboration that culminates with permission to publish.

Product FAQ

When will these be for sale?

tbd. There are a few things we want to do first.

  • Explore whether this could be official merch.

  • Ask permission from TAS Rights Management to self-publish. We'd offer proceeds to a charity of Taylor's choice.

  • Seek a 3rd party publisher and/or official licensing.

We want to get the game into the hands of Swifites, and would love to generate some sales, but it is important for us to do things right and respect copyright.

Is the design final?

There are a few changes that will be made for the first edition, when compared to the prototype:

  • Alterations to the box design
  • More variety in bracelet images
  • Printed version of the rules
  • Included gemstones to use as markers
  • 1 or 2 card adjustments based on playtesting

Additionally, we would welcome creative input from interested partners.
